Results Sept 19, 2015

The forty-third season of the Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Organization is underway. We had thirty nine bowlers show up at Hi-Joy bowl on September 19th for the WESTBAY AUTO OPEN and the TOM MYERS SR. MEMORIAL 205 and under.

Prior to the tournament we gave out our awards that were earned from last season as well as the Tom Myers Inspirational award. The 2014-15 All Star team is comprised of Nick Bachteler, Jeremy Ellis, Lonnie Sharkey, Tom Jamrog and Mike VanWinkle. Nick Bachteler earned the Bowler of the Year honor in the open division and Brandon VanWinkle was the Bowler of the Year in the under division. Ryan Council was the Rookie of the Year.

The last award was presented by Jim Monahan. It was the Tom Myers Inspirational award. This year’s recipient is Leo Funari. Based on recommendations and a vote by the bowlers the board of directors narrowed the field to three worthy candidates that the bowlers voted on at last year’s final tournament. They were Mike VanWinkle, Jeremy Ellis and eventual winner Leo Funari. We will be voting again this year so for the season if you see a bowler that you would like the board to consider for this award please let us know.
